LUVE, the Italian heat exchange and cooling solutions manufacturer, has officially inaugurated an expanded production facility at its plant in Jacksonville, Texas, adding 20,000 square meters of space dedicated primarily to manufacturing outdoor cooling units for data centers, power generation, and refrigeration applications.

Scale of the Expansion

The newly completed addition brings the total surface area of the Jacksonville facility to over 30,000 square meters, encompassing both production areas and offices.

The expansion was developed as part of LUVE's broader industrial growth project in the United States, with the company describing the Texas plant as a strategic production hub for the North American market.

The new production area will focus on manufacturing what LUVE describes as outdoor products, built on a single platform architecture capable of serving multiple end-use applications.

Those applications span data center cooling, power generation support, and refrigeration, with the platform designed to cover a range of unit configurations across all three segments.

Workforce Targets

To support the increased production capacity, LUVE has already initiated a recruitment and selection process at the Jacksonville site.

The company has set a target of adding approximately 200 people to its workforce at full capacity, with that goal expected to be reached within 18 to 24 months of the inauguration.

The hiring push reflects the scale of anticipated production demand at the facility, particularly as LUVE moves to fulfill commitments tied to recent commercial agreements in the data center sector.

Hyperscaler Agreement Driving Capacity Needs

In the weeks preceding the inauguration, LUVE signed a multi-year framework agreement valued at over USD 116.41 million with a global hyperscaler for the supply of advanced cooling solutions for next-generation data centers.

The company did not identify the hyperscaler by name in its announcement. The Jacksonville expansion was explicitly cited as necessary to provide the manufacturing capacity required to fulfill that contract.

LUVE identified artificial intelligence, data mining, colocation, the Internet of Things, and machine learning as the primary demand drivers behind the growth in this market segment.

The timing of the expansion and the hyperscaler agreement together signal LUVE's intent to position its Texas facility as a primary production source for large-scale data center cooling contracts in the United States.

Full Project Management Through LUVE US Inc.

The US subsidiary, LUVE US Inc., will provide a comprehensive project management service to customers sourcing from the Jacksonville plant.

According to the company, this offering covers the full lifecycle of a project, from initial design through to installation, and includes commissioning supervision.

The subsidiary will operate with a dedicated team and will provide after-sales service under LUVE's branded support program, referred to as LUVE CARE.

The structure is intended to give US-based customers a locally managed point of contact across the entire project duration, rather than relying on coordination with the company's European headquarters in Uboldo, in the province of Varese, Italy.

Strategic Context and the Glocal Model

Matteo Liberali, Chairman and CEO of LUVE, described the United States as a strategic growth area for the company and framed the Texas expansion as a reflection of what he called a glocal approach, which he characterized as thinking globally and acting locally.

In his comments at the inauguration, Liberali credited both the European and US teams at LUVE for making the expansion possible, and called it an essential step toward serving the high-tech segment represented by data center customers.

First Production Milestone Already Reached

Ahead of the formal inauguration, the Jacksonville facility had already reached an early production milestone, with the first ventilated unit manufactured at the expanded plant completed and documented by the company.

LUVE described this unit as the first LUVE ventilated unit made in the USA, marking the operational start of the new production area prior to the official opening ceremony.
