American Fusion Texas Data Center Proposals Advance
The Fort Worth-based developer of the Texatron fusion energy platform has secured occupancy for a new operating facility, disclosed plans for at least four additional data center projects in Texas, and entered financing negotiations with investment banking institutions.
Permanent Home Base Secured for Texatron Engineering Work
The occupancy permit covers the company's new operating facility, which American Fusion described as an important step toward establishing a permanent headquarters and research and assembly location for its Texatron development program. The company expects to begin moving into the facility on or before November 1, 2026.
Once occupied, the building will give the engineering team a dedicated location to assemble, develop, modify and improve Texatron systems and related research equipment. Management said that having its own space will allow testing and development of Texatron units on a continuous basis, without the scheduling delays or conflicts that come with shared or temporary facilities.
Four More Texas Data Center Projects in the Pipeline
American Fusion is preparing detailed proposals for at least four additional data center projects to be developed in Texas, with the documents expected to be presented to the respective project developers over the coming weeks.
The company said the prospective projects represent additional opportunities to introduce Texatron technology to the rapidly expanding data center industry, where rising electricity demand is opening space for alternative power generation technologies.
The proposals will focus on integrating Texatron power generation systems into large-scale data center developments under the company's proposed Power-as-a-Service business model.
Under that structure, American Fusion would retain ownership and operational control of its Texatron systems while customers purchase electricity through long-term power agreements.
Management identified Texas as a particularly attractive market for initial deployments, citing the state's substantial data center development activity, growing electricity demand and established energy infrastructure.
Banking Institutions Weigh Financing Proposals
Alongside its commercial push, the company is negotiating financing proposals received from several established investment banking institutions.
American Fusion did not disclose the identities of the institutions or the terms under discussion. The company is also working toward the acquisition of property for a permanent North Texas research and testing campus, though further details of that effort were not elaborated in the disclosed information.
