Applied Digital Brings Additional 75 MW Online at Polaris Forge 1 Data Center
Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) announced that it has achieved Ready for Service for the second phase of Building 2 at its Polaris Forge 1 campus, delivering an additional 75 MW of critical IT load across three 25 MW data halls.
Milestone Marks Completion of Building 2
The Dallas-based company, which designs, develops, owns, and operates large-scale data centers purpose-built for high-performance computing workloads including artificial intelligence and machine learning, made the announcement.
The completion of the three data halls finishes Building 2's full 150 MW of critical IT load and brings the total fully operational critical IT load at Polaris Forge 1 to 250 MW. According to the company, the campus is fully leased and contracted to deliver 400 MW of critical IT load at full buildout.
Leadership Commentary on Execution
Wes Cummins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Digital, framed the delivery as evidence of the company's operational capabilities beyond simply securing power.
"Bringing another 75 MW of AI infrastructure online at Polaris Forge 1 further demonstrates our ability to turn large-scale power into operational AI infrastructure," Cummins said in the announcement.
"Securing power is only the starting point. The real work is designing, building, commissioning, and operating the infrastructure that transforms those megawatts into usable capacity for customers.
That is the capability we continue to scale across our platform."
Building on Prior Deliveries
The latest delivery follows two earlier phases at the campus: the first 100 MW building at Polaris Forge 1 and the initial 75 MW phase of Building 2. With 250 MW now operational, the company describes the campus as reflecting its repeatable approach to developing and operating large-scale infrastructure purpose-built for advanced AI and high-performance computing workloads.
