Skanska lands Additional $138 Million Contract for US Technology Facility
Swedish engineering and construction company Skanska announced on Tuesday that it has signed an additional USD 138 million contract with an existing client for a technology facility in the United States.
The agreement comes from a client the company is already working with, though Skanska did not disclose the identity of the customer or the location of the facility in its announcement.
Order Bookings Impact
The new contract will be included in Skanska's US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026, according to the company. The announcement reinforces the construction group's activity in the American market, where the project will add to its booked work for the period.
Project Timeline
Work on the technology facility began in April and is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2028, giving the project a construction timeline of nearly four years.
Contribution to Skanska’s US Business
The contract will strengthen Skanska’s order intake in the US during the third quarter of 2026. The company’s continued awards from existing clients also highlight ongoing demand for large-scale technology infrastructure and related construction services in the American market
