Independent testing referenced by Chemours found that a two-phase direct-to-chip system running Faizeon 200 fluid kept a graphics processing unit as much as 19 degrees Celsius cooler than a single-phase, water-based fluid and did so at a lower coolant flow rate.

Third-Party Tests Show 19-Degree GPU Advantage Over Water-Based Cooling

That result anchors the company's case as it enters the two-phase liquid cooling market, where the physics of phase change, a fluid absorbing heat and converting from liquid to vapor, is used to pull high heat loads away from processors and server components.

Systems engineered around Faizeon fluids, according to the company, can cut the energy consumed by data center cooling and, depending on system design and operating conditions, can nearly eliminate cooling-related water consumption. The fluids are also built for fluid circularity, meaning they can be recovered, reprocessed, and reused.

Wilmington Chemical Company Unveils Portfolio Aimed at AI and HPC Heat

The Chemours Company (NYSE: CC), headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, announced the launch of the Faizeon two-phase liquid cooling portfolio on Nov. 2, 2026.

The dielectric fluids are designed for artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and high-density data centers, spanning both two-phase direct-to-chip and two-phase immersion cooling.

The company positions the lineup as giving data center operators and technology partners options that can accommodate evolving system architectures and remove heat from high-power processors and servers.

The launch reflects a market dynamic the company describes plainly: as AI and HPC workloads push chip power and rack densities higher, cooling is increasingly becoming a critical constraint on data center infrastructure.

Five Fluids, Two Cooling Approaches

The portfolio consists of five fluids. Four are direct-to-chip; one is for immersion.

Faizeon 100 fluid is a low-pressure two-phase direct-to-chip fluid intended for architectures where operating pressure, materials compatibility, and infrastructure considerations are central to deployment planning.

Faizeon 110 fluid is also a low-pressure two-phase direct-to-chip fluid, distinguished by an intermediate boiling point and zero ozone depletion potential for advanced direct-to-chip systems. Faizeon 200 fluid is described as a high-performance two-phase direct-to-chip fluid and an industry standard for medium pressure systems, balancing performance and environmental considerations for advanced cooling architectures serving high-density AI and HPC processors.

Faizeon 220 fluid is the company's highest-performance two-phase direct-to-chip fluid, suited to applications where rapid heat removal is critical, including high-density GPU environments, advanced AI clusters, and HPC deployments.

Rounding out the lineup, Faizeon 500 fluid is a two-phase immersion cooling fluid, formerly known as Opteon 2P50 dielectric fluid. It is purpose-built for full-server immersion cooling, with excellent dielectric properties, full-server heat capture, support for ultra-high-density AI deployment, and waste heat recovery potential.

Dignam Cites 90 Years of Thermal Management Experience

Denise Dignam, President and CEO at Chemours, framed the launch against the company's long history in the field.

"AI's rapid growth is increasing the demands on data center infrastructure, and cooling is becoming a critical constraint," she said. "With our liquid cooling solutions, we are applying more than 90 years of thermal management expertise to help data centers manage higher heat loads while improving performance and dramatically reducing energy and water demand.

Our Faizeon liquid cooling team is collaborating across the data center ecosystem, to bring together the expertise, testing, and support needed to confidently deploy two-phase liquid cooling at scale."

Partnerships Span National Lab and Data Center Suppliers

Chemours said it has worked across the data center ecosystem to advance adoption of two-phase liquid cooling technologies and support continued innovation in the field. Named engagements include the U.S.

Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), along with NTT DATA, 2CRSi, DataVolt, Munters, Accelsius, and ZutaCore.
