EdgeCore Raises $521 Million Through Green Securitization Backed by 36 MW Santa Clara Data Center in California
EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure has completed a USD 521 million asset-backed securitization secured by its SV01 data center on the company's Santa Clara, California, campus.
The Denver-based wholesale data center developer, owner, and operator announced the transaction on October 28, 2026. The deal brings the company's total financeable IT capacity to 62 MW and is structured as designated green bonds.
Second Securitization Lifts Financeable Capacity
The new issuance is backed by SV01, a fully stabilized data center in Silicon Valley with 36 MW of IT capacity.
Taken together with EdgeCore's inaugural ABS issuance from 2025, the transaction more than doubles the company's financeable IT capacity, bringing it to 62 MW. Both buildings are fully leased to the same high investment-grade hyperscale tenant.
The securitization is made up of green bonds.
According to the company, they were issued in accordance with EdgeCore's Green Financing Framework and are aligned with the Green Bond Principles of the International Capital Markets Association.
EdgeCore said the structure reflects its continued commitment to sustainable development and operations practices.
How the Proceeds Will Be Deployed
EdgeCore said the proceeds will be applied to two purposes: refinancing construction loans and funding future green data center development.
The company did not name specific projects in its announcement.
Management and Sponsor Perspectives
Julie Brewer, EVP of Finance at EdgeCore Digital Infrastructure, called the second ABS financing a strong signal to the market.
"Today's announcement of our second ABS financing is a strong signal to the market that EdgeCore continues to deliver data center capacity with certainty despite industry-wide delays related to power delivery, supply chain activities, and capital deployment," Brewer said.
She added that "EdgeCore's exponential growth is supported by the strong financial backing of our owner, Partners Group, and our ability to raise funds through strategies such as this asset-backed securitization."
Fentress Boyse, Member of Management, Infrastructure, at Partners Group, said the platform has scaled considerably since the firm acquired EdgeCore in late 2022.
"Since Partners Group acquired EdgeCore in late 2022, the company has grown into a scaled hyperscale platform serving the world's largest cloud and technology companies," Boyse said.
He described the second ABS financing in as many years as a demonstration of "the quality of the contracted cash flows the team has built and the depth of capital available to support the platform."
Boyse also said the transaction is "a reflection of EdgeCore's uncompromising delivery record in tandem with its focus on sustainability, community engagement, and safety."
Banks and Law Firms Involved
MUFG led the transaction as the sole structuring advisor. ING and MUFG acted as joint book-running managers, while First Citizens Capital Securities and Huntington Capital Markets served as co-managers.
On the legal side, King & Spalding served as counsel to EdgeCore and Partners Group, and Milbank served as counsel to the underwriters.
